Galinthia's Punishment

Hera the queen of the gods attempted to punish the woman Alcmene and prevent her from giving birth to Hercules. Galinthias tricked the angry goddesses long enough for Hercules to be born. Hera was enraged. She turned Galinthias into a cat, and condemned her to wander the underworld. However Hecate the goddess of witchcraft took pity on her, & made Galinthas her own assistant.
