About the Course
Step into the world of oil painting at Cecelia's art studio, in the traditional Kostos village on Paros island located only 15 minutes by car from both Parikia and Naoussa. Explore your artistic potential with a daily private two-hour lesson for 3 days as local painter Cecelia presents the full process of oil painting, from the canvas preparation and sketch to the completed painting. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, this intimate session will cater to your needs, focusing on foundational skills that form the bedrock of oil painting. Choose from three engaging examples provided by the studio or bring a reference photo of your own, and let Cecelia guide you through the process with step by step guidance. Surrounded by the rustic charm of the mountain village, this unique experience in Paros teaches you the essential techniques of oil painting so that you can bring home not just a painting but a creative skill as well.
Day 1: Basics of canvas priming, grids and sketching with proper proportions. Learning the fundamentals of oil paints.
Day 2: Creating layout in shadows, creation of pallate and color blocking
Day 3: Finishing color blocking and refin the details.
